Idaho Hunger Links

Blaine County Hunger Coalition

The Blaine County Hunger Coalition strives to end hunger in our community by providing wholesome food to those in need and by promoting solutions to the structural causes of hunger through collaboration, education and advocacy. We provide healthful food boxes, grocery store food vouchers, and infant formula to social service agencies that have direct contact with children and families in need. Recipients are not required to complete any paperwork and there is no charge for our services.

Child Nutrition Programs, Idaho State Department of Education

Community Action Partnership Association of Idaho

The Community Action Partnership Association of Idaho (CAPAI), formerly known as Idaho Community Action Association, was formed in 1968 to provide a unified voice for Community Action Partnership agencies in advocacy, policy, programmatic and legislative issues affecting families and communities in Idaho. CAPAI sponsors trainings and conferences and serves as an advocate to Community Action Partnership agencies before the Idaho Legislature.

Idaho Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)

University of Idaho Extension Nutrition Program

Extension Nutrition Program is Idaho's Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program. The Extension Nutrition Program (ENP) is a University of Idaho Extension education program that is designed to help limited resource adults learn how to stretch their food dollars to provide tasty, low-cost, healthy meals for their families. Research has found that when families take charge of their diets and food budgets they frequently begin taking control over other areas of their lives. ENP teaches nutrition and consumer related skills that lead to individual change helping families in Idaho move toward increased self- sufficiency.
