Progress on 'next steps' since 2016:

GOAL 1:  Establish and support coordinating bodies such as food policy councils to identify and collaborate on shared community food system goals

  • Local Food Leaders Group has been established and meets quarterly

GOAL 2:  Assist Idaho schools in applying for community eligibility provision and assist them in becoming hubs for youth and families to access healthy food and food education

GOAL 3:  Lower food waste  by creating a food recovery network organization that will partner with entities that generate food waste to transport food resources to low-income communities
