SNAP/WIC Engagement Team

Decreasing barriers to SNAP and WIC through
outreach and education

the task force commitment

Idaho regulatory restrictions do not permit the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare to perform educational activities about SNAP. The Idaho Hunger Relief Task Force is committed to increasing participation in supplemental nutrition programs by individuals in need. To do this, the IHRTF convened a team of partners and organizations to address this need.

The Work of the SNAP/WIC Engagement Team

  • Decrease barriers to participation in SNAP and WIC

  • Create a network of leaders advocating, dispelling myths, and facilitating participation

  • Create a place to gain accurate, up to date, timely, and consistent information on SNAP and WIC

  • Provide training information to process SNAP and WIC applications

Resource guide

The Team created a set of training modules and compiled materials (pamphlets, factsheets, etc.) to assist organizations in expanding knowledge around programs available to Idaho community members.

We are available to provide group presentations at community gathering points to provide an overview of the SNAP and WIC programs.
